Thank you for choosing Omuri Shai for your placenta encapsulation services.
We are honored to support you during this sacred postpartum experience. Below is an overview of our encapsulation process along with important information to review prior to service.
Important Disclaimer
Please contact your hospital or birth facility in advance to obtain a placenta release waiver, which allows you to take your placenta home.
Placenta supervision is required at all times.
If the placenta leaves your or your designated support person’s sight at any point, Omuri Shai will no longer be able to encapsulate
Encapsulation Process
Upon receiving the placenta, it is gently cleaned with warm water to remove blood and clots.
The placenta is then prepared and boiled with lemon, lime, ginger, and jalapeños.
Please inform us of any allergies or sensitivities prior to service.
After boiling, the placenta is sliced into thin pieces and placed in a dehydrator until fully dried.
Once dried, the placenta is finely ground and encapsulated into capsules for consumption.
Conditions That Prevent Encapsulation
We are unable to provide encapsulation services if:
The placenta is retained by the hospital for testing or medical purposes
The placenta is taken by the hospital for any reason
The birthing parent has a confirmed STD or STI
Additional Information
We do provide placenta encapsulation services for clients who are GBS positive (GBS+).
We do require full payment upon arrival before services begin (cash app or Apple Pay)
